Unfortunately Boat US as an effective lobbying organization is mostly
a joke. They are most definitely a "for profit" organization and will
not do anything to rock that boat.

We need somebody with real teeth and commitment, more like the NRA
with a take no prisoners attitude. Unfortunately we have no
constitutional ground to stand on like the NRA, and we don't have the
same numbers, but there are still a lot of boaters if we ever got
effectively organized.

The hope is that folks here might take five minutes off their bickering and name
calling and write a letter to their senator instead. The site provides all the
necessary information.
