IIrc these are the same striped bass that show up around here later in the season. If they are, they are known for going some 40+ miles up the Connecticut River, way beyond the salt or brakish water areas. Brown trout can live way down by the shoreline too, not sure how far they actually swim out into the Sound, but I have caught them a few hundred yards up river from the Sound. Scotty I'm not familiar with your area. The bad is an estuary so it should be mostly freshwater. It's a huge body of water so the tides can only affect a small portion of the bay, right? The Bay is tidal clear up past Baltimo http://www.dnr.state.md.us/fisheries...ndex.asp#frame The Potomac River is also tidal. Although 'fresh water' on top, the channel is salt water on the bottom.
