That seems odd. I wonder why the 'powers that be' are against it? I'd

economy and increase value to the property. Not counting better
satisfaction to the clientel.

Most strange, but then again. I'm not in charge, either.

I dunno, I'll ask him for details when he's not as busy. There's a small
county waterfront park next to the marina. It's a favorite gathering
place on nice weekends for large family barbecues. Judging by the aromas
I've enjoyed on my way into and out of the marina as I pass the park,
some of those families are blessed with first-rate cooks.

Yes, it WOULD be interesting to find out why...

Agreed on the park cooks, too!

Who else will be boating this weekend?

Well John, we both actually knocked off early today, and went out for
a couple of hours. Just got back in, and left the boat uncovered for
the night (rare!). It'll be ready for us tomorrow about 1pm, and my
son is coming out with us for the day. Back to the house in the
evening for steaks on the grill.

I made an appointment at the dealer for a pontoon cleaning and oil
change next week. It's got quite a bit of growth on it from sitting
in the water over the winter, and we always have it cleaned every year
anyway. They have a LARGE forklift that they lift the boat up with,
then pressure-wash and acid clean the 'toons. It'll look like new
when we get it back, and with a couple of touchups by me with a scrub
brush in the water over the summer, it'll last until next year.

The big Yammie started and ran flawlessly. Looking forward to running
the tank of gas out and re-filling, even though it was treated with
the Marine Sta-Bil last year. The gas has been sitting lomger than it
ever has in the past, as this weather prevented us from getting out
much this winter. Too freakin' cold. This global warming is killing
me!

Will do. I looked for it on the trailer and didn't see it a few weeks

Good to hear you got out. Sounds like you had a great day.

We have friends from Holland coming next week. I won't be ready to try to launch
the boat myself, but with Adri's (my friend) help, I'm sure planning to do a
little boating. He and his wife are shipping their VW camper van from Rotterdam
to Baltimore. We'll pick it up a few days after they arrive. They'll stay here a
couple weeks and then spend the next three months travelling.

I'd like to get into the Ches Bay and do a little fishing. Even some bottom
fishing for spot, perch, or croaker would be fun. I went down to the marina a
couple weeks ago, and the boat looks fine. The cover took a beating, but the new
one is here. Next year I'll give serious though to shrinkwrapping, especially if
I get the phone number of the real cheap guy in MD that one of the poster here
is always talking about.

I'm also interested in seeing how this new dog of mine does on a boat.
