So does Ford supply inboard motors to anyone? -- -------------- Politicians don't provide anything, the tax payers do. I believe Ford got got out of the marine business long ago. Mercuruiser used them on some of the models in the mid 70's but I take it that GM made them a better offer on their power plants and Ford was dropped. OMC was the last to use them as I recall on the lowly 2.3 in their runabouts. But there were several Ford big block 429-460 engines used in jet boats. But that's played out by now, too. I don't think you'll find a modern Ford engine used in any kind of domestic marine application today, and that's sad, because they were pretty good units, too! No worries...Canuck isn't buying a boat. -- Which one is the girl? http://tinyurl.com/ycpsnzz |
