I ask as Ford just outsold GM as the #1 sales in the US. And there is a
stench on GM for bailouts, I have a fundimental issue with. That is, I
will not spend my money on a corporation that is in my pocket via taxations.
So does Ford supply inboard motors to anyone?

Politicians don't provide anything, the tax payers do.
I believe Ford got got out of the marine business long ago.
Mercuruiser used them on some of the models in the mid 70's but I take
it that GM made them a better offer on their power plants and Ford was
dropped.
OMC was the last to use them as I recall on the lowly 2.3 in their
runabouts. But there were several Ford big block 429-460 engines used
in jet boats. But that's played out by now, too.
OMC is part of Bombardier, they overcharge Canadians and are tax pocket
pickers. And can't say I am a OMC fan.
I don't think you'll find a modern Ford engine used in any kind of
domestic marine application today, and that's sad, because they were
pretty good units, too!
Looking at the 18' or 19' range, googling I could find stuff for larger
boats but nothing for this size that wasn't GM. Sure don't need 450 hp
in a 18's boat.
Guess outboard is the way then. Kind of specing out what I want. But
like inboards as they tend to be better on fuel millage.
