You made me realize how long it's been since I've seriously thought "nobody
can be that stupid". I think I may have met too many stupid people in my
life.

It's actually sort of depressing to realize that I left "cynical" behind a
while ago.

This is an unbelievably stupid discussion.

Scott, go back to your trailer park, marry your sister and give up boating.

It is large heavy and ugly.
I was thinking of going into 40 foot or deeper water and heaving it over the
side. Does anyone have a problem with this?
In a few years the metal frame would be gone and of course the wood and
cloth would rot as well. It is an old sleep sofa and IMO, too hard to lug
back up the dock.

As long as you are chained to it when it goes over I don't have a problem
with it.

Seriously, if everyone threw there unwanted stuff in the Bay we wouldn't
have a Bay to boat on.

In the off-chance that this is not a Budweiser-induced troll, please
don't. There has been enough large, heavy, and ugly, crap dumped in
our waters already.

While travelling 1/2 mile of the Mohawk river two weeks ago, I could
have easily swamped my boat if I had collected all the crap that I
encountered. Nature will get even, and we will suffer the loss.

Where do you live? I'll send you the disposal fee.

If Isabel picks up Harry and dumps him in Erie, it'll be polluted once
again.

Go ahead and dump it. By the looks of Isabel, the couch should end up

in
Lake Erie by next weekend...where it would rapidly decompose from the
pollutants.

Are you in a '70's time warp? Wake up guy. Lake Erie turned around

(water quality
wise) in the mid '80's.

Yup, better watch out: them beaver-teeth are sharp!

And if I was a Good Canadian, I'd be calling it a couch, anyway...

Lloyd

I would've thought any good Canadian would call it a davenport.

My mistake.

Hmmm...I think that would be England. I could call it a chesterfield if I
could spell it...

Yea, I got the feeling, yet I've seen stranger things that were
real...

IF it is really deep then no one is going to hit it. I know of parts that
are over 60 feet deep.
