We were throwing out an old sofa, and we started by throwing it off the balcony onto the back driveway. Then we thought of taking it apart a bit so it would be easier to take to the dump. Out came the axes, the sledgehammers, the chainsaw...we had a BALL!! You could probably charge money: $.50 per hit or something. Then take the pieces to the dump. Easy. Lloyd |

Easy...that's the West Coast talking...not the East.
We would just take a reciprocating saw to it and cleanup the mess. NOYB wrote in message hlink.net... Wow, Lloyd. I knew you Canadians were a little strange, but... |

The Red Green approach. I love it! And, ya never know what some of those
parts might be useful for in the future. Would it be too intelligent to call the local office of your state's
environmental agency, and ask them? |

Subject: Can I dump my boat sofa in the chesapeake bay?
From: "Scott Downey" I think the marina manger would have a problem with that Sounds like he's a dick. The other thing I could do is dissasemble the frame out of the sofa to lighten it Now you're thinking. but I still like the over board route, much less to deal with. Very true. Is there a public pool near by? I wonder if it would be illegal. My guess? Yes. But those who make environmental laws tend to be dicks too. Capt. Bill |

In a few years the metal frame would be gone and of course the wood and cloth would rot as well. It is an old sleep sofa and IMO, too hard to lug back up the dock. If you are really stupid and don't care about your fellow boaters hitting and ****ing up thier boat because you were an asshole... NEED I SAY MORE? Take it to a dump! Larry Hill |
