Anyone know anything about it? Is this something we should run out and buy as
our new boat hauler?

It is a way to fight socialism, after all.

I get a kick out of the ad copy ..... "If you want something right, build it
yourself".
Ford has been purchasing their turbo diesels from Navistar International.
The 6.0L was a disaster. The 6.4L replacement was better, but still not
perfect.
Ford and Navistar were in a ****ing contest about who was responsible for
warranty claims on these engines. Now that the contract is up, this ad is
obviously a poke in the eye to Navistar by Ford.

Ford blames Navistar for building a junk engine, and Navistar counter-
sued stating the engine was built to Ford's design specifications.
That fight will go on for a few more years.

I noticed that also. I'm hoping to hear some good things about this engine.
We'll see.

If you mean fighting socialism by buying Ford and not GM or Chrysler, I
would agree. Besides, there is a reason Ford is #1 in trucks.

Mine is a F150 Lariat 5.4L gas, perfect for what I use it for, but know
if I had a heavy boat I would do a F350 diesel in a heartbeat. One of
the last few decent American made vehicles left actually.

John, I'm always a bit leery of first run productions on something.
I'd rather somebody else buy it and watch and see how it holds
together, or ....falls apart.

Tim, notice how long it took? Liberal=bad right from the very
beginning from John, then insults to others from Scotty.

If we move up to something bigger, it would probably be an F250. Don't need
anything more than that, as long as it had a good diesel.

Agreed. F350, unless the boat is really a big boat, F250 might be
better. But for a 18' fishing boat, a F150 is plenty for me.

We're thinking of a 5th wheel RV sometime in the future. Of course, that assumes
we can ever get this new dog to travel more than five miles in the car without
throwing up three times. This thing is really afraid of cars.

Really isn't much difference between a F250 and a F350 other than spring
blocks and official factory ratings. But, depending on what you are towing,
you need to make sure the rating (even if it's just on paper) is high enough
to be legal.

Yeah, you can stick your nose in and judge that. I have made about 5 defensive
posts here in the last few days. All have been "in response" to dozens and
dozens of repub bad, lib good posts from NDP and JPS... If you can't count, or
won't count and read, you really should hold your powder.

I guess it's only fair to Loogie if me and Tim sit here and listen to Harry and
JPS slam our beliefs, our states, our apperarnce, and everything else they can.
So Loogie, what number would make you happy. Should we wait till we have 40
attacks against our belief system before we fight back instead of the usual 30?

People, When it comes to rucks, I'm still a fan of the tried and true
Dodge with th Consolidated Diesel " Cummins" They're sill doing a
fantastic job. My brother has a 2003 and has pulled horse trailers all
around the US. plus using it for farm wagons and impliments. and has
have very little hassles outside of normal service. OPh yeah, it's got
all most 300,000 mi. on it now. He just got through replacing the
$80.00 power steering pump.

I still think that Dodge has a winner.
