They both count on people spending a lot more than they can afford. The Las Vegas mayor was on the news expressing his opinion of 'Bama last night. It wasn't good. Here's both parts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nH3hNgdFbWE Goodman is a good man. He might just be the one to get impeachment proceedings going against 'Bama. That tuition versus gambling in Vegas spiel is a thinly veiled attempt to destroy Vegas by unionization. Nobody was fooled. Obama, like Adolph Hitler knows how to deflect blame. But Hitler didn't have the internet where people can review, see and decide more intelligently. Lets hope it is enough as Obam needs to be impeached. |

Where did you read that? It's all over the news, but somewhat out of context the way it was represented here. In a nutshell what Obama said was "don't spend your mortgage money on a boat, don't spend your kids tuition on Vegas". Scotty Wow, that's just crazy talk! With that kind of thinking we probably wouldn't be in the ****ter we're in today. |

SnottyScotty, the self-described network, ISP, and usenet guru, can't figure out that whatever post he refers to here wasn't from me. snerk He's not much of a boat painter, either, and he couldn't hang onto a job working in a supermarket warehouse. |

Absolutely amazing, and I'm glad that he's not getting a pass like he used to. Steve Sure didn't get a pass from me, did he? I agree about Goodman. He defended Tony Spilotro I think. Any pal of Tony can't be bad. Stand up guys. |

Here's both parts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nH3hNgdFbWE -- Proud member of the angry mob. If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention. John H I lived in Las Vegas for over fifty years. I know Oscar Goodman, the mayor. He was once the attorney for Anthony Spilotro, infamous gangster who would kick the **** out of a guy for looking at him the wrong way, and he didn't care where you were at. Oscar is well known, and a hell of a mayor. A hell of a lawyer, too. He is also a standup guy who you would not want to cut in line in front of or steal a parking spot from. He once said about taggers who were defacing the new freeway that they should take them out and break their thumbs. You notice Obama says nothing of him and Michelle and two hundred hairdressers, shoe polishers and nose hair trimmers jumping on a plane to go have dinner somewhere. And YES, YES, YES, he does mention that we should cut back on boats in that clip. Like my $1500 Lund and going fishing once in a while at $10 a pop is something decadent. He pays that much for a bottle of Evian or a shot of oxygen when he is traveling. Absolutely amazing, and I'm glad that he's not getting a pass like he used to. Steve |
