At the Georgetown-Duke basketball game this afternoon, President Obama visited with CBS announcer Verne Lundquist who showed footage of the president playing basketball, NBC News reports. Lundquist: "Mr. President, you're a left-hander, do you have any trouble going to your right?" Obama: "I can go to my right now and then. I went to the House Republican caucus the other day. But there's no doubt I have a stronger left hand." It was a joy watching Obama at that GOP conclave in Baltimore. Later, I read that Faux News gave little attention to it on its fake news and talk show programming that day. The reason was obvious: Obama sliced and diced the GOP'ers, and did it pleasantly, and with humor. It's also obvious that the GOP'ers are going to "obstruct" whenever they can. I hope the Dems are sharp enough to focus on that and make a big issue out of it. |
