Oh no, it's a wake up call that the Democrats ignore at their peril, and
yes, there are lessons to be learned. Now, while you are all giddy, let
me know the lessons you learned from New York 23?

It has been a long time since Massachusetts has elected a Republican
Senator. All the way back to the late 1960s, when they elected Edward
Brooke, IIRC. New York, 23, *had* been Republican, however, since the
1800s. Again, lessons learned?

Probably "don't run a liberal against a liberal, that only gives you a
50/50 chance;)".

I think the teabaggets are going to give Brown a pass on his less than
perfect rightwing credentials for at least a while. The question is, is he
electable in the next election, which is only 35 weeks (or so) away. I doubt
it.

I'm more concerned about the recent Supreme Court decision to relax the
limits on corporate and union campaign contributions. This does not help the
continued feeding frenzy in DC.

Callaway Diablo. Probably get three or four new printers. Printers
don't come with graphite shafts. But then, Callaway drivers don't come
with WalMart stickers.

Herring needs a chinese knockoff callaway to shoot in the 90's...my
uncle shot in the low to mid 70's most of his life with a set of cheap
wilson clubs from a sporting goods store.

BTW, I'd guess my new printer cost at least twice as much as your $200
driver.

Callaway Diablo can be had for $186 from Overstock.

In Herring's hands, it'll just put him that much further into the
woods.

I can hit my $29 second hand Taylormade 540HD 100 yards further than
Herring with his new Diablo. Waste of money on a feeble old man.

Maybe he should have donated that money to a worthy cause, like Race
for the Cure.

You really researched the prices for a driver? Bored today, or is this
your life?

Heheh...my new printer was $414...though I suppose with herring's
taste, he could have bought "three or four" printers that serve his
needs for that amount of money.

I don't know anything about golf. I played one or two rounds almost 40
years ago. My 93-year-old uncle played 18 holes four times a week
until his 90th...he's slowed down a bit but he did play and win a good
number of local senior tournaments as an amateur. Uncle retired at 55
and moved to Boca Raton from Salem, Massachusetts. He plays with a
cheap, old set of clubs.

Wow! $414! My new Colt AR15 was $1700. Do I win a prize?

Actually the cap gains tax under Bush favors the bottom 2 brackets (

well, another right wing truism shot to hell

the middle class works for a living. the GOP steals for a living

Bull****, there are plenty of seniors living off investments who do
not make more than $65000.

compared to working folks? no.

I dare say there are a lot of people in the middle class who buy and
sell stocks and they got a great tax break from this.

i dare say there aren't.

You are wrong. That was the whole point of this legislation, to make
investing more attractive to people who normally just spend every dime
they make on **** they don't need.

actually it was targeted at working people because the GOP realized
they

1. dont have the money for stockbrokers
2. dont have the discretionary income to invest

so this was a way to steal a BIT more money while convincing the
middle class they were getting a BIG tax break

if they REALLY wanted to give the middle class a tax break, they'd
reduce income taxes, NOT capital gains taxes

but the GOP has NEVER done this.

When did the Democrats lower the middle class income tax rate? They have
had control of Congress the majority of the last 50 years.

How long was that seat liberal-democrat? 46 years or more?
Well, tells you what people think about Obamanomics, liberal
corruption-debt-spend and liberal health care tax grab.

Obama's honeymoon just ended with one year in office. One year
of Ombama has democrats voting republican. LMAO.

Some democrat aught to email this to Obama:

The Dems can still put the bill through with the "reconciliation"
clause which requires a vote of 51, so the fat lady hasn't sung
yet. It WILL be interesting now to see the tap-dancing and
posturing of Democrats who are up for re-election. Some have
already declared, "I'm out of here" and won't be running. They
are smart men who know they can take their spoils and retire
comfortably. The greedy and stupid will stay, and take what they
get. An armed insurrection is in order to clean the Halls of
Congress.

Steve

You really ought to run for congress, Steve. I don't know anyone in
rec.boats who has a better take on things. We really need to promote
people who don't have big lips, bulging eyes and nappy hair.

I'm with ya when you decide to run.

Nice spoofing Harry, except your writing style and sore ass shines
through the camouflage.

Sorry, ****-for-brains...not one of mine. I've been...busy. My new
photo printer arrived late yesterday, and I've been occupied setting
it up, calibrating my monitor and loading in various paper profiles.
I suppose I could have bought a golf club, but the printer was more
expensive.

As always, ESAD.

Do you know what a good driver (golf club) can cost?

Enjoy your new printer. You should be proud!

As bad a golfer as herring is, if he spent $50 on a golf club, it was
too much.

I have no idea what his handicap is, but to play that often - in odd
conditions, too! - he can't be that bad. Paying a few grand for a good
set of clubs is no different than paying hundreds of thousands on a
fishing boat. I wouldn't want to guess what a pound of fish costs with
all costs considered. It's about the sport and the enjoyment of the
sport in both cases.

He shoots in the 90's or worse usually.

It's amazing what little things bother you, Harry. You need a long break
from this place so you can interact with people in person and act
accordingly.

He overpaid for the printer.

you're missing the point. we ALL have to pay taxes. the GOP just

the middle class

i have no problem paying my taxes. i DO have a problem paying MY
taxes AND subsidizing the lazy socialist welfare cheats of goldman
sachs, etc.
