Well, just to once again prove you the dummy of rec.boats, please tell
the group about how you know what I own, how many boats I have, etc.

I got a Zimmerman-like lobster boat and an honorary Yale degree!

Rob

Did you get a fireboat welcome in NYC for that?

No, it was in San Francisco!

I did get a new tow vehicle - at least it's on order...

What? What's on order? Quit being coy.

A replacement for the last. A diesel this time...

In that enclave of local asian culture Geary St.?

Actually, while there are a number of "centers" of asian culture in the SF
area, asian culture may be found almost everywhere in that great city.
There are many neighborhoods in sf...it is a city of largely residential
neighborhoods. I'd bet you've never been there for any significant period
of time, if at all.

SF, thankfully, is nothing like Atlanta, which...sucks.

SF sucks politically also. But there are some fine places to eat. Do not
know if your place is good or not. Other than David's Deli by there, most
are not anything special.

Got a new sheepskin pad for the motorcycle, so I'll be comfortable if
I decide to ride the bike to the boat. Oh, and a new pocketknife
that'll work for almost anything on the boat.

Glad to hear about your socks!

Got a pack of 2 LED flashlights. One red, one blue.
That way you can them apart.
They use 3 AAA batteries, nestled sideways in a plastic harness
inside.
Bright, but LED light looks a bit strange.
Nice size, about 4 inches long, a little over an inch wide.
Lanyard equipped, a rubber push button on top for on/off.
Looking forward to using them.
Hoping for a power failure in fact.

My favorite is one of the cheapest. Ray-O-Vac over the cranium with three
straps. One setting, regular bulb, one setting LED, one setting red bulb.
$12.95 IIRC. Three AAA

LED is weird light. I have a couple of head lamps for fishing that have

For camping, I have a crank type LED with 8 bulbs, I love it. Aside from
the whirring noise bothering some campers here and there, it never needs
batteries, used it all season and never had to worry about it.

I got a feeling everybody will get used to them, and we'll end up with
them lighting our houses when production costs come down.
I've heard they're real efficient.

There's nothing "weird" about LED light. It makes for great nightlights,
and staircase lights.
