There is nothing he can do that will earn your respect. I think you need to look up the meaning. When you are the President of the US you don't get to vote present anymore. You actually have make the decisions. You can't have your underlings make them for you so that you have plausible deniability. Reagan was responsible for our awareness of that phrase.
