I'm always amazed that you only have two major parties to choose between.
Up here I don't support either the Liberals or the Conservatives. I lean to
a more labour/socialist representative party.
In fact the Member of Parliament for my area is a member of this party, so
I'm not alone.

Your system relies upon compromise of principles to form a government.
When you have to pull together a coalition you have too many masters to
serve.
