Garmin does not have a system for updating the orbit data on a weekly basis - like every other GPS system does. It's one reason why I won't buy Garmin anything. My TomTom is great this way. You update the orbit data every couple of weeks and it's like an instant on - you aquire the sats and you have your position within a couple of seconds. Great way to update. |
