Hey, a couple of us are discussing philosophy in another
thread and we
haven't come to blows yet. I think boating is a philosophy. I
was never much
of a power boater.. don't see the attraction.. if I want to

Ms Plume has been a cogent poster here and I enjoyed our

even if we don't agree on a lot of things but I think I am
joining the

don't want

Thanks! Agreement is over-rated anyway. It doesn't add much to
understanding if all you have is a bunch of people nodding
their heads in agreement. When I'm with my close friends, we
argue all the time about politics and religion. A couple of
them are Born-againers and we can have a lively discussion
without screeching.

I'm afraid you won't see that happening here, Sweetie. There's
some folk here that are programmed to holler racist, bigot,
moron, and insult family members at every opportunity. It's
usually in response to someone expressing an opinion on politics
or religeon.
You never answered John about why you get so aroused over
talking with a bunch of nasty old men about religion and
politics. Don't you have anything better to do?

it here. Go join some political action group or do something
useful with your life instead of boring us to tears.

Sweetie fits you better than name of the pen.
It's not my name. Do you not like Jimmybob?

Plume isn't your name either.

You're right. What's your point?

You know what? I don't know. Just trying to follow along with your
logic, I guess. Do you like Bloomers better than Sweetie? Let us know

Yes, well.... lol

How about Em. That's what the whole world uses. No, it's not short for

If that's what you think is appropriate behavior, it wouldn't matter what my

Where did I say I thought it wasn't? If you're asking, then
yes,
it's
pretty
offensive.
Then you should have the 'chesticles' to say something just as
you
have to others who've said something you found offensive.
--

John H

You're claiming I'm supposed to look at every post in the
newsgroup
and
condemn everything that's offensive. Sorry, but that's a full
time
job,
and
I already have a job. I believe he said it to/about someone
besides me
here,
and I suspect that person is capable of defending himself.

Why don't you take it on as a job.

However, if something says something in my direction that's
offensive,
I'm
willing to point it out. Aren't you?
I was referring to a post made in response to yours. That could be
considered somewhat different than looking 'at every post in the
newsgroup', as you erroneously claimed I claimed.
--

John H

As I said, I'm not responsible for what others say, especially
about
other
people. Are you advocating some sort of censurship program?
He's expecting you to distance yourself from whatever bad behavior
takes place in any thread in which you post on rec.boats.
Yes, I know what he's expecting. But that doesn't mean it's going to
happen.
I actually have a life, well, sometimes.

Wow. Just as those who blame every disagreement with 'bama on
'racism', you two are a couple of mind readers!

I *expect* you to act as would any other liberal. You've met those
expectations quite prettily ('handsomely' just wouldn't fit).
--

John H

Wow. As I said, you remind me of a four-year-old's behavior. You have a
disagreement with someone, so you put them down.
You, on the other hand, do not resort, ever, to personal insults.

Why do you consider a comparison to any other liberal a 'put down'?
--

John H

Rarely. If you're talking about the four-year-old thing, I'm just making
a comparison between my experience and your behavior.

You just got done telling me what to do with respect to others' comments.
When I said that I'm not responsible for what others say, you claimed I
was just like them... whatever word you use, context is everything.

Well. Aren't you just like em?

Just like who?

Chesticles?? He said Chesticles.. That was my line;) Did you read about
the follow up the next week when I asked if they (two wild girls) were
suffering from an abundance of "Chestosterone"?? That got me a face full
of goggles, and riding boots from across the campsite;)

Jessi took third place again for the day yesterday, two hard crashes in
the last moto though. Again with the chesticles... after the second
violent wreck in 5 minutes, the ref tried to take her off the track, she
answered him with a rooster tail and a sneer... This kid is tough.

moron, and insult family members at every opportunity. It's
usually in response to someone expressing an opinion on politics
or religeon.
You never answered John about why you get so aroused over
talking with a bunch of nasty old men about religion and
politics. Don't you have anything better to do?
Pot, kettle, black. Looks like you're outnumbered by reasonable
people Jimmy Bob.

Who is this Bob fella. No sirre Bob. Us conservatives are the
reasonable ones. You loons that fawn over liers, cheats, and

are beating a dead horse over all this political and economic
nonsense. You cant change nuttin by bawling and blustering about
it here. Go join some political action group or do something
useful with your life instead of boring us to tears.
Who's "Sweetie"? No such person here.

Go yourself. You don't get to tell me what to do.

Sweetie fits you better than name of the pen.
It's not my name. Do you not like Jimmybob?

Plume isn't your name either.
You're right. What's your point?

You know what? I don't know. Just trying to follow along with your
logic, I guess. Do you like Bloomers better than Sweetie? Let us know
your preference. That would be names preference. Not, well, you know.

Yes, well.... lol

How about Em. That's what the whole world uses. No, it's not short for
Emma.

Well that's just dandy.
So now we can't say F--k Em, s---w Em, P--s on Em, to h--l with Em ect.
etc. etc.
Are sure your name is Em?

If that's what you think is appropriate behavior, it wouldn't matter what my

Amazing. You write just like Harry.

I already have a job. I believe he said it to/about someone

Why don't you take it on as a job.

I was referring to a post made in response to yours. That could be
considered somewhat different than looking 'at every post in the

Hey, a couple of us are discussing philosophy in another
thread and we
haven't come to blows yet. I think boating is a philosophy.
I was never much
of a power boater.. don't see the attraction.. if I want to
go fast, I take
a plane. Sailing on the other hand, seems very zen-like.
Ms Plume has been a cogent poster here and I enjoyed our
exchanges,
even if we don't agree on a lot of things but I think I am
joining the
"trusers" myself. When discussions simply become insults I
don't want
to participate anymore.
Thanks! Agreement is over-rated anyway. It doesn't add much
to understanding if all you have is a bunch of people nodding
their heads in agreement.

It's
usually in response to someone expressing an opinion on
politics or religeon.
You never answered John about why you get so aroused over
talking with a bunch of nasty old men about religion and
politics. Don't you have anything better to do?
Pot, kettle, black. Looks like you're outnumbered by reasonable
people Jimmy Bob.

Who is this Bob fella. No sirre Bob. Us conservatives are the
reasonable ones. You loons that fawn over liers, cheats, and
thieves are the crazy ones. Krausie and company which includes
you are beating a dead horse over all this political and
economic nonsense. You cant change nuttin by bawling and
blustering about it here. Go join some political action group or
do something useful with your life instead of boring us to
tears.
Who's "Sweetie"? No such person here.

Go yourself. You don't get to tell me what to do.

Sweetie fits you better than name of the pen.
It's not my name. Do you not like Jimmybob?

Plume isn't your name either.
You're right. What's your point?

You know what? I don't know. Just trying to follow along with your
logic, I guess. Do you like Bloomers better than Sweetie? Let us know
your preference. That would be names preference. Not, well, you know.

Yes, well.... lol

How about Em. That's what the whole world uses. No, it's not short for
Emma.

Well that's just dandy.
So now we can't say F--k Em, s---w Em, P--s on Em, to h--l with Em ect.
etc. etc.
Are sure your name is Em?

If that's what you think is appropriate behavior, it wouldn't matter what
my name is. As I said, it's not really my name, but it's what people call
me.

Amazing. You write just like Harry.

Really? Maybe Harry writes just like me.

Why don't you take it on as a job.

However, if something says something in my direction that's

I was referring to a post made in response to yours. That could
be
considered somewhat different than looking 'at every post in the

--

John H
As I said, I'm not responsible for what others say, especially
about
other
people. Are you advocating some sort of censurship program?
He's expecting you to distance yourself from whatever bad behavior
takes place in any thread in which you post on rec.boats.
Yes, I know what he's expecting. But that doesn't mean it's going
to

You have
a
disagreement with someone, so you put them down.
You, on the other hand, do not resort, ever, to personal insults.

Why do you consider a comparison to any other liberal a 'put down'?
--

John H

Rarely. If you're talking about the four-year-old thing, I'm just
making a comparison between my experience and your behavior.

You just got done telling me what to do with respect to others'
comments. When I said that I'm not responsible for what others say, you
claimed I was just like them... whatever word you use, context is
everything.

Well. Aren't you just like em?

Just like who?

Oh nevermind.

Oh... Em... I get it.

Actually, you hadn't said anything for a while. That comment was

Yes, I read the followup. Cute. And you deserved a face full of

He was the bendover and pick up that soap boy when he was in the navy.

Explains why he has such fond memories of his 'service' days.

You, like the plum, find nothing offensive about this kind of talk?
--

John H

Where did I say I thought it wasn't? If you're asking, then yes, it's pretty
offensive.

Then you should have the 'chesticles' to say something just as you
have to others who've said something you found offensive.

Actually, you hadn't said anything for a while. That comment was
designed to bring you out of the woodwork.

Yes, I read the followup. Cute. And you deserved a face full of
goggles and boots - and maybe a big crescent wrench!

She needs a bigger bike. And she needs to be nice to the refs. Who
beat her, the same gal on the big bike?

No, Christina is so far ahead in points, she can skip races and this one
was far away so I think they decided not to run it. Jessi was hoping to
take her first, first place, but this time of year, the sandbaggers are
running from race to race stealing contingency money... It's disgusting
but hey, that's racin'... ;)

Yeah, Jessi needs a bigger bike, but we have to sell mine first;( We are
looking for a late model 125 two smoke... Really like to get the Suzuki
we saw last week, know anybody who wants to buy a 08 KX100?? Only driven
one season by a novice fat hippie with no teeth;) ??

The refs love her, most everybody at the track does, the kid never gives
up. She always takes a second to warn them to turn away before she
screams off in a wheelie;!

Rowdy Mouse Racing, you run what 'cha brung!

Sweetcheeks, you have your bloomers all wedged up. Lighten up.
Forget
about politics for a while. Tell us about your boating adventure
with
that older couple. After all you signed on here to discuss boating,
didn't you?

That has to be the most sexist remark ever posted here.
Congratulations Flatulent Jim. You've finally discovered your one
true
talent.

I'm hoping he isn't going to make a corset remark. Sorry, stupid pun.

It's strange that both you and Donnie find offensive a comment about
bloomers, yet a comment such as the following is acceptable:

"He was the bendover and pick up that soap boy when he was in the
navy."

John, these guys are intellectually dishonest, why bother with them?
Like my friend Joe said years ago.. "There are givers and takers in this
world, these guys are takers"... Guys like this have no useful qualities
in society..

I didn't say anything to Harry. He picked up on a comment I made to
Bloomers.

Say what?
I can't believe JustHate actually said what he just said.

John, I think Bloomers is onto Harry's act already, But Donny boy
still
hasn't a clue.
She seems very quick to take offense at a comment made by a
conservative, but tends to overlook anything made by a liberal.
That's
what I'd call an NBC mentality.

John H
Wow... I'm female. Thanks for reminding me. Are you afraid to speak

directly? lol
Have I seemed fearful of you?

In this case, we were talking 'about' you, not 'to' you.

John H
Yes, you do seem fearful. I think you're feeling threatened.
Psychologist also? I'm impressed.
Just an amature. Also? What pray tell do you think is my +real+
profession?

Chambermaid?

Something you aspire to?

Of course.
