If you use a bait tank, which bait tank to you use?
I'm planning on getting one for the pontoon boat - looking around there doesn't seem to be a lot of choice. |

Kodiak. Yeah - I have one of those on the Grady. Just a little larger than I was looking for for the pontoon. That's the pontoon boat you don't use, right? I'll give you ten to one odds that I have more hours on that pontoon boat than you have on your Parker. Ta-ta. I thought you were going "boating" - or was that sitting in your boat at the marina wishing you were going "boating". |

I thought you were going "boating" - or was that sitting in your boat at the marina wishing you were going "boating". Got back a little while ago...just before the rains here. Otherwise, a pretty day on the Bay, albeit choppy water. I'll bet that spittoon, er, pontoon of yours has lotsa hours...you bought it used. Let's see...you've got a ranger with an outboard mismatched to the transom, a pontoon down south, and a grady with what, three or four monster outboards, and requires a crew? You chose poorly. -- Birther-Deather-Tenther-Teabagger: Idiots All |

I just did 'bait tanks' on Google and came up with all kinds. So, there must be something more you want than your basic bait tank. Or, you're looking to save some bucks. This guy's got a bunch of them: http://www.livebaitlarry.com/ With your abilities, why not build one? -- John H "Vote for a Democrat, it's easier than working!" |

This guy's got a bunch of them: http://www.livebaitlarry.com/ Yeah - I must have used the wrong search words. Look like a dork. With your abilities, why not build one? Actually, I'm thinking of converting the cooler in the front of the Ranger console to a bait tank - it's a 25 gallon cooler, round and is connected through the bilge for emptying. The problem is running the aerator water to the cooler - that is definetly going to be a problem. Then again, recirculating the water would be a good choice as there are different oxygenation and anti-foaming additives around - add in a filter system and the whole thing might just work. But this is more for the pontoon boat than the Ranger - the Ranger is a seperate deal entirely. |

Which size do you use? I don't have a feel for how many blue back herring you can stick in one of these - got any idea? |

My boat of course has built in live wells, but Shad need the round ones to live any amount of time, that's why I got it. And if it doesn't get too hot or cold they'll live forever! |
