I can't speak for the "socket puppets for the rich;" however, I can confess that I don't care whether or not the affluent are affluent. What I hold dear is my right to choose my own direction in life, including having the personal autonomy to pursue wealth if I should choose to do so. If by the vicissitudes of nature or by my own failure I should sink into poverty, at least I can remain satisfied with the knowledge that I had the liberty to take control of my own life. Though I don't agree with all you say, you sure do get a lot right, and say it with some wit. It's always amazed me how many people let themselves get used, without asking the simplest question in the world. "What's in it for me and mine? Details, please." Simple life transactions. Tough love. Call it what you will. --Vic |

The bourgeoisie shall never be a member of the Third Estate for that is where you dwell. Always envious of those who may have more than you. Always believing it is a mortal sin to have more than you. Not only are you a proletariat, but also "Les Jaloux." Really, if you don't have a "La Colombe Qui Fait Boum!" on your living room wall, you really should get one. It fits you well. |
