This problem just started. I have replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump. Should I also replace points? Carb is pumping the gas with no prob. it seems from visual inspection. Does it restart right away after it stalls or do you need to wait a little while? If you need to wait chances are that the small screen/filter that is usually right at the carburetor has got loose debris floating around in it. Try cleaning or replacing. You may also need to clean the carburetor bowl if you can get at it. |
