Uh, I take it you haven't read the act, huh? Student records, banking
records, travel records, etc. CAPPS II program that mines public
databases. The act also allows the government to eavesdrop on
conservations between lawyer/client. After Cointelpro in the seventies,
the FBI wasn't allowed to secretly attend religious or political
meetings, until Bush overturned it. Bush had Brett Bursey arrested for
threatining the safety of the President. What did he do? He carried a
sign that said "No War For Oil". There's more if you need it. But then
again, we all know anything Bush did = good.

If you are concerned about privacy, you should be protesting google.
Those are the guys who are building a profile of everything you do
online. If you are not rejecting them, your machine is loaded with
tracking cookies that anyone can mine. Some of the sites that get
linked here set 10-15 cookies before you can get them to open. That is
not Bush/Cheney it is guys like Page and Brin. Of course when the
government wants this information the spammers are more than happy to
give it to them.

I believe that obama want to use cookies for the whitehouse web site.

I also know that until I blocked the Democrat National Committee, every
time that I contacted the whitehouse the DNC would ping my computer to
verify the address. DNC not the whitehouse as I traced the ping.

I wonder if the DNC got the addresses like the third party that sent out
the unsolicited white house emails?

a 'fishy email' report, what does it do with the email. For
example,
if Loogy forwards an email from me to the White House, what
happens to
my email, name, etc.?
The issue is not that. The concern is that someone sends the
Whitehouse an email you wrote or forwarded and the headers
show your email address. The Whitehouse can't erase that
material for about a dozen years or so. The insinuation is
that the Whitehouse possibly harvested a list from those
emails and emailed "detractors" with a sales pitch.. I am not
saying it happened, but that is the insinuation..

I'm betting that you think the Bush admin. did nothing like
that, huh?
I don't recall the Bush administration asking me to forward 'fishy'
emails so the administration could take action.

Do you have a reference?

That's odd, I don't remember anyone from the Obama admin.
contacting me to forward "fishy" emails. Did they contact you, or
anyone you know? OR could it be another conservative lie?
You mean a true liberal, like yourself, isn't wired to the White
House?

Shame on you.

From the source, "Since we can?t keep track of all of them here at
the
White House, we?re asking for your help. If you get an email or see
something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy,
send it to ."

Sounds like phishing to me. Haven't you been forwarding all the posts
from folks not agreeing with Obama?

So you have something against them wanting to know where the lies
from the right are being propagated?
Even liberals are questioning it:
"The ACLU said in a statement to FOXNews.com that the White House blog
is a "bad idea that could send a troublesome message."

I would have something against them maintaining the email addresses of
those who disagreed with their policies. Yes.

Sorry, we lost a lot of our civil liberties with Bush. Didn't seem
like a problem for you at the time.

Please name a civil right you lost??

Here's several:

Go to a book store and purchase the book for cash. Public libraries are
government entities.

Where are the lawsuits of those who have had their civil rights
curtailed. Have any of these lawsuits reached the Supreme Court? What is
the disposition of those cases heard at the Supreme Court?

Nada....

You have a choice whether or not you use Google. You don't have a choice
to not let the government do so.

Because someone doesn't try to sue the U.S. Government that pays hundred
of thousands of lawyers' paychecks, means that they didn't have their
civil rights stepped on????!!!! Unbelievable how far you guys will go to
make the Republican party look good.......

He asked a question, I answered it truthfully... It had nothing to do
with republicans...

Going to the track this afternoon to work out for the weekend races in
Maine... I hate camping. Used to like it as a kid, but now it just
sucks. At least I camp with our race partners who have a hauler with a
shower...

Got to change a tube today in this heat trackside, ugh...

RMR, see you at the track
