I'm gonna lean toward the ultraconservatives and vote for wind. I
currently pay two power bills. The nuclear fuel one is 30% higher than
the fossil fuel one and that doesn't account for finally paying the
piper and figuring out what to do with all of the warehoused spent
fuel waste.....

I wonder how old is the technology behind that power plant?

So do you not believe that man made global warming is real because the

For every pro global warming article there is one that shows the
opposite. Global warming is basically a computer model that some people
have been trying to prove for several years. What you don't read about
in the government press is the glaciers that are expanding, the cold
ocean currents that are getting stronger, or the sunspot cycles that
control the weather.

In the reports from the scientist that I have read there is a lot of
questionable science, such as the one reporting an increasing acidity of
the ocean. The differences they were claiming was global warming was
the variance in the standards used to calibrate their meters used to
take the readings.

Warming does seem to be real, even that man contributed to it seems
real. The operative question is how much can we actually do about it.
The warming trend tracks population and the rise of agriculture as
closely as any other metric.
I suppose the upcoming thermonuclear war will trim off a significant
portion of the population and the particulates in the air will knock
down a lot of that greenhouse effect so all will be well.
If our luck holds from the last two world wars we may actually be able
to fight this on the other side of the planet too.
I hope that "On the Beach" stuff isn't true.
I am long on Ambex stock tho, just in case ;-)

More profit to be found in acai berries. Hucksters are squeezing the
juice and selling it for about $$35$$ per bottle. The poor SA harvesters
are probably reaping pennies per bushel to collect the berries.
Now that's a story the old hairball can sink his tooth into.

As to Gore's claims - they are pure adulterated bull**** with almost
no basis in science. Many, many very gullible people believe them,
which is why Gore is making a big fortune. How much have you
contributed to his companies?

I once shook hands with a pudgy guy who:

Sailed from San Francisco to Hawaii.
Rounded Cape Horn, twice.
Transited the Panama Canal.
Has owned more than 20 boats in his lifetime.
Sailed large boats competitively.
Has been hundreds of miles from land in a powerboat
under his command.

And who set a new record for the most distance covered
and most fish caught in the Chesapeake Bay in the shortest
time!
