I'm gonna lean toward the ultraconservatives and vote for wind. I currently pay two power bills. The nuclear fuel one is 30% higher than the fossil fuel one and that doesn't account for finally paying the piper and figuring out what to do with all of the warehoused spent fuel waste..... I wonder how old is the technology behind that power plant? http://tinyurl.com/czv338 *Also, how much does your nuclear plant contribute to global warming? Which will kill off the population sooner, melting ice caps or the disposal of what is now a very small amount of waste from nuclear plants? Al Gore would have us believe we should be buying caskets already. So do you not believe that man made global warming is real because the right tells you to think that? Do you reckon this is just smoke and mirrors? Why? http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=7856609 Here's the full report, please keep an open mind, read what the scientists are saying. It take awhile, it's 270 some pages long: http://downloads.globalchange.gov/us...e-impacts-repo... Loogy, go back and re-read my post. I make no proclamations about the validity of Al Gore's claims. You certainly have in the past, I didn't know your stance had changed, although I'm glad it has! I made no comments about my stance one way or the other. Read the post. I asked questions. -- John H As I said, you have many times before, right here in rec.boats made a stance and negated the validity of Gore's claims. I asked questions, which you have yet to address. Why? They're valid questions. As to Gore's claims - they are pure adulterated bull**** with almost no basis in science. Many, many very gullible people believe them, which is why Gore is making a big fortune. How much have you contributed to his companies? -- John H I take it you didn't bother reading the entire NOAA findings? I take it you can't answer my questions? -- John H |
