Indium tin oxide is a transparent electrical conductor that can be
applied to glass by evaporation. If we put it on the auto glass would
it block cell phone signals? Yes, it would only be done on new cars.
Yes, you could always roll the window down and use the phone.
Oh, he was not hurt thank god.

Hard to say which is dumber, this, or the nut job that allowed cell
phone use by a driver in the first place.

Everything that's missing:

Steady job

Regular income

Pays for the house (and quite likely the boat)

Has medical insurance

Maintains an even emotional keel

The real question is: why?

It's a minor giggle watching you righties play your ignorant guessing games.

Herr Krause. It's a major laugh watching you write your bosh postings.

$100 fine for anyone caught using and driving unless an emergency
(involving blood) and if the user gets caught lying about the emergency,
an additional $500 tacked on. Probably a lot of return dumbass customers.
great source of revenue for the state and local gov'ts.
For people caught texting while driving, officer is allowed to drag the
offender out the window by the hair and pistol whip them. Also applies to
people putting on makeup, reading the paper, leaning over the back seat
beating the kids, wacking thier pud, etc.
Yes Virginia, a lot of people ARE too stupid to take care of themselves.

If you're doing anything other than driving, you're putting my life in
jeopardy. I'd just as soon pull some stupid **** out of a car and slap the
living dog**** out of them (man or woman) just on GPs. I hope we soon have
legislation allowing us to do this, and I guarantee the problem will get
better in one day.

Admirable in concept, impractical in execution.

And frankly, a little bit of "nannyism".

OnStar may be the only profitable part of GM right now.
I doubt you will get much traction stopping that.

BTW they have figured out holding the phone is not the distracting
part, it is actually the conversation that takes your mind off the
road.
Mythbusters came up with the same result in their semi scientific
tests.

If holding the phome was the problem, then the population with be much less
from all the accidents caused by holding a cigarette, a cup of coffee, a
donut. Most of the cops would be eliminated from just coffee and donuts.
Bagels of you are a 90's cop.

I used to change the oil and spark plugs on my car once a week. Cut
open the oil filters to see what was in side.
