Only in Virginia eh?
It does remind me of when I lived out in the suburbs in a Cape Cod I built
with my own hands.
The lots were fairly long but only 80 feet wide.
I had seen a rat at the bird/squirrel feeder in the back yard so I decided
to blast it with my 22 cal semi-auto rifle from the 2nd story bathroom
window.
Didn't notice until after I plugged the vermin a couple of times that the
neighbours were out in the backyard two houses over.
I imagine I shocked them...lucky they didn't call the Mounties.
That must have been before the Neanderthal became the refined city boy.
Don't they have any laws up there concerning shooting in populatesd areas?- Hide quoted text -

He does not hold himself to the same standard as he does others.
Imagine if it had been someone else, he would have ratted them out in
a heartbeat... I bet he is a great neighbor snerk.

If you, Herring, and FloridaJim got together and merged your brains, you
might - maybe - break into a three digit IQ.

I have not seen a mouse or rat in the yard itself since we moved in
here...and my wife has more bird feeders out than a bird feeder factory..
I suspect the friendly critters - the foxes, raccoons, possums, and
small bears*, along with the large birds of prey, have taken care of them.

Show me any town, anywhere in North America where zoning lets anybody
with 80 foot wide lots, shoot up the neighborhood... He is obviously
an idiot and has no business owning any guns... Just like you.

Depends on the competition...
Warriors like Lt Colonel & his Dope Army would fall in love and swoon alll
over the Highlanders.....
others might drop their weapons & run before the Highlanders accidently
exposed themselves.

What do you think the reference to Mounties meant?

The "asshole count" in my filters indicates rec.boats ought to be renamed:

I've heard of the mounties. I thought they patrolled manly places like
the mountains and forests. I didn't think they patrolled fish camps like
Halifax.

They make your Cops look like women.

We are about to have a federal police force right here in the United
States of America. "Why do we need a federal police force after all
these years?", you ask. That's the million dollar question.

In my county, they want to raise property taxes 25%, in part to provide
county wide police protection, even in the cities which provide their
own police force. I think the county commissioners may have a recall
vote on their hands.

Fish camps??
You really are a backwards redneck.
When I lived on that suburban property, the area was county and policed by
the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Where FloridaJim lives probably is the second most "rednecky/cracker"
