Only in Virginia eh?
It does remind me of when I lived out in the suburbs in a Cape Cod I built
with my own hands.
The lots were fairly long but only 80 feet wide.
I had seen a rat at the bird/squirrel feeder in the back yard so I decided
to blast it with my 22 cal semi-auto rifle from the 2nd story bathroom
window.
Didn't notice until after I plugged the vermin a couple of times that the
neighbours were out in the backyard two houses over.
I imagine I shocked them...lucky they didn't call the Mounties.
That must have been before the Neanderthal became the refined city boy..
Don't they have any laws up there concerning shooting in populatesd areas?- Hide quoted text -

Imagine if it had been someone else, he would have ratted them out in
a heartbeat... I bet he is a great neighbor snerk.

If you, Herring, and FloridaJim got together and merged your brains, you
might - maybe - break into a three digit IQ.

I have not seen a mouse or rat in the yard itself since we moved in
here...and my wife has more bird feeders out than a bird feeder factory.
I suspect the friendly critters - the foxes, raccoons, possums, and
small bears*, along with the large birds of prey, have taken care of them..

Show me any town, anywhere in North America where zoning lets anybody

I took a .22 rifle to a skunk in the neighbors back yard right when a
deputy was driving by. He pulled in and said " Tim, this is a warning.
You can't be shooting guns in the city limits." I said, "Jerry, I'm
doing a public service. I just whacked a skunk that was going under
Mrs. Taylors shed." He walked over and looked, and yep... Dead skunk
about 10 feet from her tool shed. He looked at me and grinned and
said. "Good work. Keep it up."
