Things have changed a lot since you were in school in the '40s. *Of course, that does help explain why you're so "set in your ways" and forgetful. *It's typical of the elderly, unfortunately. As I stated, your local guy succeeded because he got out of rednecksville.. How do you know he wouldn't have been just as successful had he stayed in Columbia? And do you know that many progressive southern cities have a much higher rate of college grads than in your area? Now, I mean REAL grads, not made up Yale ones. The president of my senior high school class was doing very well when we caught up at a reunion. How about the make believe president of the make believe student body of your make believe Yale education? I was in public school in the 1950's and 1960's, but I agree that "things have changed a lot" since then, and, as a generality, I believe today's high schoolers are far less literate than their predecessors. Too much internet, too many video games, not enough reading, writing, math, and science. That's pure bull****. Of course, you righties aren't big fans of science. Interferes with your idiotic religious beliefs.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Gee, Harry, I thought you didn't like mean spiritedness? |

As a local "hero" he's in the news and on the local scene pretty often. |

Its fascinating how ones life can improve when they finally pick six good lottery numbers. I take it you are still waiting? Herr Krause? |
