Harry equated blacks with the NOLA disaster. The Katrina/NOLA disaster
was in fact handled without much self reliance.

He's trying, that's for sure. I neither said nor implied that blacks
were incapable of self-reliance. What I did say/imply is that Herring
used a typically right-wing racist site to try to imply that the whites
up north were "more capable" than the blacks down south in handling a
flood. It was typical simple-minded, right-wing, "we're better than they
are" bull****.

He may be up to what ever you think (if you ever think) he is up to. But it
is also a very valid question as to government response. Being one who went
to the NOLA area after Katrina to help the recovery via Habitat for
Humanity, I saw what the locals are not doing. You ever get off your ass to
help others or just to get more alcoholic beverages for the son? Did Harry
ever get off his fat ass and help? I was building in Slidell, and most
restaurants were only open a couple hours a day, as there was a lack of
workers. $10.50 / hr to work at McD's with a signing bonus after 3 months.
But go into NOLA itself and the people there were waiting for the government
checks, and rebuild homes better than before. Both places have blacks. We
worked with blacks in Slidell. They had little use for the NOLA people also.
Get you head out of your ass and think. Maybe you should let your son drink
all your beer and you will be better off.
