Stick to your drinking and bad grammer Kalif Swill. Everyone with half a brain knows exactly what Johnny is up to. As far as can see it is HK who is racist assuming that blacks cannot be self reliant This is in accord with lefties always treating black people as less than human. I would like to know how the two situations differ in "everything that mattered". HK has shown his true racism. I'm sorry, I must have missed the post where Harry said that blacks were incapable of self-reliance. I suspect you're putting words in his mouth. |

Everyone with half a brain knows exactly what Johnny is up to. He may be up to what ever you think (if you ever think) he is up to. But it is also a very valid question as to government response. Being one who went to the NOLA area after Katrina to help the recovery via Habitat for Humanity, I saw what the locals are not doing. You ever get off your ass to help others or just to get more alcoholic beverages for the son? Did Harry ever get off his fat ass and help? I was building in Slidell, and most restaurants were only open a couple hours a day, as there was a lack of workers. $10.50 / hr to work at McD's with a signing bonus after 3 months. But go into NOLA itself and the people there were waiting for the government checks, and rebuild homes better than before. Both places have blacks. We worked with blacks in Slidell. They had little use for the NOLA people also. Get you head out of your ass and think. Maybe you should let your son drink all your beer and you will be better off. |

They've proven it in this thread. |

You say, "I would both turn down an invite from you..." Are there really two of you? Or should I ask, ONLY two of you? I say, old boy. It's time you were tested for a multiple-personality disorder. Really, DID, DSM, MPD, or which letters are of your choosing, can be treated successfully with proper medication and/or shock therapy, that is unless you suffer from JPS Syndrome, then maybe your local psychiatrist might need to test you for acute schizophrenia. But relax. Even if you should decide to opt out of treatment, in four years all should be back to normal. Cheers. |

Oh, and some good questions also. http://tinyurl.com/boebj5 There is another perspective to this. The difference between city people and country people. The black folks who lived out in the bayou didn't riot, panic or complain about FEMA either. I really believe a hurricane hitting ANY big city will be a disaster of apocalyptic proportions. New York City leaps to mind. Country people do tend to be a lot more self reliant, no matter how much melanin they have in their skin.. But not exclusive to the country. There are a percentage of those who live in the city who can take care of their own, and not because they grew up in the country. I does take a different set of skills to thrive in the city but it doesn't mean that you cannot also be skilled at crafts. |

I build all kinds of things, do plumbing, electrical, flooring. I don't install sheetrock, tape or mud since it's a lot of work and a skill that's best done by a pro. We gutted our'60s kitchen and rebuilt with new cabinets, granite and oak flooring, demo'd and refinished 800 sq. ft of basement, ripped off ugly 50s siding to expose the original 1923 clapboard, sanded, replaced bad sections, recaulked and painted. Rebuilt a 150 sq ft second story deck from scratch. I do my own gardening including summer vegatables. This summer I'm rebuilding our garage. Do you knit, sew or crochet? |
