My brother lived there in a house on the bluffs next to where the lobster pound is during the Blizzard O' 78. There was quite a bit of erosion and he said he could feel the ground shake when chunks of the cliffs let go. The next day the he went outside to find the edge of the cliff a lot closer to the street in front of the house than it was the day before. The house is still there today though. I did not know about the flight sim feature even though I play with Goggle Earth at least a few times a week . Thanks for mentioning it. I think that I need to work on my piloting skills though. I was going to try to find Otis AFB and land there but instead my plane is now scattered on a golf course somwhere near Buttermilk Bay. --------------------------------- The place we looked at was a little further south from Manomet, off of exit 2 of Rt.3. I had dreams of a mooring with our boat sitting out there, but it wasn't meant to be. The FS is pretty good, but it helps to have some basic knowledge of flying an airplane. Eisboch I've got Microsoft Flight Simulater X. It's a really fun program, especially if you have enough computing power to run everything in full scenery mode. |
