Time before last, they gave me a six months deal, reducing my bill by about $35/mo. Then my bill jumped back up. I left it there for a couple months, and then called and whined again. This time they took $7.95 off for one year, but I have to stay with them for the year (which I'd have done anyway). So, you might try calling and whining. Maybe they'll give you the new service free for six months. Hell, it's worth a try! Maybe you won't save enough to buy a dinner at Mickey D's,. but you'll feel better. They're getting me for about $155 here, but I probably don't get the same stuff you have. Anyway I called about the step-up, which is called "Digital Classic" but I would need a box on each TV, since mine aren't digital. Not cost effective. I never bluff, so the threats won't work since I've got nowhere else to go except satellite, which I don't want - yet. So I'll just live with what I have for now. --Vic |
