Our kids (8 and 5) let us know that Santa was very good to them, which accounted for the 5:30am reveille! Magically, the baby Jesus appeared in our Nativity scene, and they were just as excited about that as they were about their gifts. We *do* teach the meaning of Christmas to our kids. :-) About 10am, we had a wicked hailstorm roll thru, and for about 5 minutes, actually had a White Christmas! The kids were bouncing off the walls. We don't get many White Christmases in San Jose, CA. :- Later... had a great meal at the In-Laws, exchanged more gifts, and I'm ready for the sack! If you all had a day 1/2 as good as mine, you're doing well! Merry Christmas! --Mike A great day for me too. Had a midnight candle service on the 24,th. and didn't get home till about 1:15am thought I could sleep in but that never happens. Wide awake at 6! Son, daughter-in-law, and 2 yr old grand son came up from Tenn. The rest is wonderful history. God bless us all! Tim Cool. I loved it when my kids came with their little guys, spent the night, went to church with us, and then did the present thing in the morning. Now they want to have their own traditions for Christmas. Can't blame them, but that's when the kids *really* leave the nest - when they want to do Christmas morning in their own house. But, all is not lost. The daughters, sons-in-law, and grandkids will all show up here later today for presents, pictures, and dinner. I'm looking forward to it. Glad you had a great day! -- John Have a Super Christmas and a Spectacular New Year! |
