Other than the focus, the composition and lighting are spectacular. It's beautiful the way you organized the colors for the complimentary effects. It almost appears that you used a color wheel to get just the right spectrum overall. Perhaps a little more attention to the depth of field would have helped. Does the D700 have a depth of field preview button? Sometimes it's useful. -- We say, "THANK YOU, REGGIE" Salmonbait It's a snapshot of a couple of housepets napping and sort of napping on their couch, Herring. That's all it is. Handheld, 1/15th of a second, f/2.8, lens at 60mm, natural room lights. Not being an alcoholic, I can handhold a camera at fairly low shutter speeds and get results that are pleasing enough to the eye. Your opinion matters naught to me. Very nice photo, I found the obvious motion blur to be nice, it really captured the mood of the two cats, lazy and laid back. It looked like you caught the dark cat "making muffins" on the other cat. Man, I've got to apologize to Harry. I thought there was a little focus/depth of field problem with that wide-open lens setting he used. I hadn't even thought of some purposeful motion. How cool. Harry, if my focus comment was offensive, I'm sorry. -- John Have a Super Christmas and a Spectacular New Year! |
