And for loooooosing, you have to wear bell bottoms and that stupid
white sailor cover - or a dress. :)
Money is one thing. That Navy outfit is another. Forget it.
You guys don't know what you missed. Those bell bottoms were
chick magnets. They love 13 buttons.
Sure they do.
I would have been a squid if it weren't for the "outfits" they wear.
Keeping the family tradition. Luckily my grandfather started his
Naval Service career in the USMC so I had that to fall back on.
Besides, the USMC has the best looking uniforms.

The Marine dress uniform can't be beat. But I do like the Army's new
desert
camouflage uniform, especially the no-shine boots and all the velcro
patches. I can't believe the amount of time I wasted spit shining
boots and
the money I wasted getting patches sewn on.

I have a couple of cousins who are boot-louies in the Corps. Both of
them are going to be airdales too. Neither of them has had to shine a
pair of boots they just walked through the swamps with.

Freaking Corps is going to hell in a hand basket.

Why does the Army make you guys wear all of those patches. You guys
trying to emulate the boy scouts. A merit badge for this, a merit badge
for that?

Gosh, I remember those heady days of Cub Scouts, where we first learned
how to shine our sneakers, wipe off our buttons and exchange scarfs.
Good training for the military, apparently.

No wonder we were safe, what with you cleaning the latrine stateside
during your tour and Herring in Vietnam, making sure those nasty North
Vietnamese didn't invade Topeka and carry off all the virgins.
