It kinda surprised me that the helicopter was allowed to fly directly over
the campus now-a-days.
I got a kick out of it though. I spent some time (about 6 months) there
instructing
midshipmen on the basics of shipboard communications systems and procedures.

Imagine what Annapolis would be like if it were the US Marine Corps Academy
with a few squids allowed to attend. The damn place would be dangerous.

An Army-Marine game would be a blood bath.

I am sure the commanders at both academies knew exactly what was going on
and approved it before hand.

I spent two years teaching math at the Military Academy Prep school when it
was here at Fort Belvoir. What a joy to teach highly motivated kids!

That experience provided the desire to be a teacher when I retired from the
Army. Wow. What a difference.
