Right, and the SR 161 receives and processes all AIS messages, not
only some like the NASA/Si-Tex Engine.
Together with Yacht-AIS (www.yacht-ais.com) all text messages
including those from the Great Lakes can be viewed.

Including those writen in Chinese?

To my knowledge currently there exist only 7 messages defined by IMO, 2 more defined by IALA/ITU and 10 defined by US Authorities.
Free text/safety messages in Chinese should be decoded without problems

If you know of any special chinese messages please point me into the direction of their technical documentation and we will implement them.
