Default new front end to DC power

Hi,

I have been reading a lot on re-wiring my boat and I have a pretty good idea
about the wiring standards etc but I am having a mental block at the front
end. The more I read the worse it gets. Too many options. I have a twin
engine setup, each with it's own starting battery of course and I will have
at least two house batteries (lead-acid). Has anyone come across any example
diagrams on the different ways to do this that include all of the following;
charging systems, isolaters(diode based and non-diode), switches ,alternator
& regulators. Would anyone be willing to share their schematics with an
explanation.

Thanks
