Me I'd say you are right. It's done that way all the time. Telephone companies in Europe would probably rather noone had internet in the home. I'm still trying to figure out why Swiss citizens have to PAY to call across the street on their own telephones! How absurd, a pay phone in your kitchen... Not so absurd. The lowest cost telephone service here makes you pay per call. It is more cost effective if you don't make alot of outgoing calls. Also, pay per call is pretty normal for business phones until recently. The Swiss may have their own telephones, but unfortunately they don;t own the network. Costs money to operate it. Doug |
