Bluetooth comunications in a boat

I have got a bluetooth GPS receiver I bought on eBay I use with my PDA. I
can have the receiver on the dashboard of my car parked outside and I can
be inside the house approx 15' away and the PDA still picks the signal up
so I am sure it would be ok in your scenario.
