This is correct. In British Columbia the "no discharge" areas are listed at: http://www.pacific.ccg-gcc.gc.ca/obs...as/index_e.htm Kinda, I think...What I'm saying is that the "Type I" Type II" and "Type III" are purely American designations - they have no legal definition in Canada (or other parts of the world). Actually, Type I and II MSDs are clearly defined in ISO rules, which are the regs for most of the world--and US regs conform to ISO rules...in fact are the basis for many ISO rules that US rules pre-date. So while "Type I and II MSD" may not have any meaning in Canada, they most definitely do in most other parts of the world that have marine sanitation regs. These are also Canadian designations: http://www.ccg-gcc.gc.ca/obs-bsn/pub...n_e.htm#Sewage As a matter of interest, the city of Victoria does not treat its effluent other than straining out the large bits. Sounds like a good idea. What did you use for the light?

You may find that a white LED (the kind that replaces a bayonet-mount 12 v incandescent) works just as well at a fraction of the amp draw and an uptick in ruggedness. This may be of interest if like me your holding tank is nearly as distant from the batteries as the bow running lights, which I may switch this year to ganged LEDs for this reason. R. |
