Default Ordering new Chapparal 190. Difference in 3.0 or 4.3

Oh joy, another stinkpotter.

SV

Last summer I got to chat with a local woman who has sailed around the world.
We discussed the oft encountered sailor's snobbery toward any other form of
boating.
She laughed.

Her general comment: "Very few serious bluewater sailors feel like that, it's
an urban or inland sailing thing. Probably hung over from days when only the
very rich could afford to buy a sailboat and go 'yachting'. Whenever we would
put into port, we'd try to make friends with cruising powerboaters. Most of
them have more tools, more spare parts, and more space to fix whatever got
broken on the last leg
than cruising sailors typically carry. People who behave as though sailing is
always superior to powerboating just show how little they really know."

Wish I knew the answer to the speed difference between a 3.0 and 4.3 engine in
a Chapparal......but in any case this new boater should be encouraged, not
ridiculed because his choice of boat might be different from someone else.
