A really inexpensive solution is to buy a Dymo label maker and an assortment of tape colors - usually about $10 at your local office supply. These are also very useful for labeling halyard stoppers and other deck hardware. In addition to labeling all of my deck plates, I had small color coded platic laminated placques made up which mount near the deck plate. |
