Did a eBay search and there are about 50 New In Box and the prices look like
I could have one for around $30 plus shipping. (of course most want $20 S/H)

I guess I'll watch for the seller who doesn't want to get rich on the S/H.

Having sold stuff on eBay (including some sailing magazines), $20
shipping ***IS NOT*** going to make the seller get rich. The idea is
to not lose money on shipping, not to make money on shipping. The
only time I wasn't just barely breaking even on shipping was when
something was light enough that I could send it first class. A 15
pound parcel going across the country from Maryland to California
costs $22.64, not counting tracking or insurance or anything like
that.

If the seller has a fixed shipping cost, they've probably calculated
how much it will cost from one end of the country to the middle. Then
if they are on the east coast and it has to be sent to Hawaii, they
will lose a lot of money on the deal, and if they only have to send it
to the next state, they'll make a little money on the deal. People
seem to like the fixed cost thing best, but it's a crapshoot for the
seller. Otherwise the buyer has to wait for the seller to figure the
cost of postage or figure it themselves, and some buyers are too
impatient to do that. Also buyers such as yourself seem to have an
unrealistic idea of what shipping costs. UPS costs more in a lot of
cases BTW.

Plus - postage isn't all of the cost. In most cases, I have to pay
for shipping materials etc. Buyers don't seem to like to pay for
handling either, but I see no reason why I should work for free for
someone who is getting a bargain.

In any case - we have a Brother 7300 multipurpose machine (printer,
fax, copier, scanner) which we bring on the boat. It's not tiny, but
it is fairly simple to set up, and when we are at home, we bring it
home and use it there. The copier function is useful but we don't use
the fax much on the boat.
