Someone has posted a whole storm of Jacques Cousteau Odyssey episodes in
nicely-compressed DivX format over on alt.binaries.multimedia.documentaries newsgroup. These are the Cousteau Society's trips from back in the late 70's. I haven't viewed them as I just found them. Most of today has been spent getting my retired Air Force stepvan loaded and ready to go to the Charleston Air Force Base Open House 2008 early tomorrow morning. The Thunderbirds are flying their show, but the BIG show we got a glimpse of today during practice is the new F-22 Raptor which did some really amazing aerobatics all afternoon to the delight of everyone goofing off on a Friday afternoon in the warm Charleston sun. To cap off the practice, today, the crowds assembled got to watch the World War II P-51 Mustang, completely restored fly in very tight formation with the F-22 Raptor, which simply DWARFED the P-51 like a 747 in formation with a Piper Cub! The Raptor is HUGE!.....AND LOUD! Seeing them fly with the nose of the Raptor sitting almost touching the P-51's left elevator was a fantastic sight for all. During that time, the P-51's big enginen was making all the noise at full throttle trying to make enough speed so the Raptor wouldn't go into a stall....(c; It's gonna be a fantastic weekend at CAFB. The flightline is full of static displays and seems to have lots more corporate support than last year: http://www.charleston.af.mil/ http://www.charlestonairexpo.com/ Our own C-17 aluminum clouds will also be demonstrating our airlift capability....albeit a little slower than the Raptor...(c; Ft Bragg will be invading (and probably setting fire to the runways again like last year). Some Airborne landed in the crowd and we got to see them CLOSE UP! |

LOL Took the old AF stepvan to the gate this morning and was told I'd have to go through a full search at the gate on the other side of the AFB to get it aboard. The gate was HEAVILY armed with multiple dogs, flak jackets and very heavy weaponry I've not seen at previous air shows in previous years, even after the false flag op of 9/11/2001, when I simply drove the van in the traffic with the huge SUVs. Something is cookin' at the Base. They're loaded for war like I saw this morning with very serious AP's looking for trouble. So, about 11AM when the airshow starts, I'm going to go over to the civilian airport and watch it from there. The base looks like they're expecting a bomb to go off right in the middle of the crowded static displays. No thanks..... I don't understand why anyone's mad at us just because we invaded a few of Israel's enemies and killed thousands of their people trying to impose Israel's will on them with military force and steal their oil and other natural resources for the big corporations..... Never mind the rag heads, I'm surprised that the 'mericans who's buying power for foreign (Chinese) goods has decreased by about 30% aren't cleaning the muskets and casting bullets. But maybe Hillery will save the day? Or 'bama or Big Mac? Sort of the insolvable problem -- who to vote for? Bruce-in-Bangkok (correct email address for reply) |

: But maybe Hillery will save the day? Or 'bama or Big Mac? Sort of the insolvable problem -- who to vote for? Someone sent me a copy of a "Message from Denmark" in my email..... The Dane said something like: Why are you Americans having an election?? One candidate is a lawyer who is a bitch who is married to a lawyer who is a philanderer. The other candidate is a war hero who is married to a woman with big boobs who is a BEER DISTRIBUTOR. Why do you need an election to decide?? ............................ I found the comment quite funny....(c; I didn't know McCain's wife owned a beer distributorship! Doesn't matter who, actually. We're discussing the EMPLOYEES who do what they're told by the hidden OVERLORDS back at the Council on Foreign Relations, Supreme Lodge of the Freemasons, Bohemian Society, Skull and Bones cult and the Federal Reserve Bankers who make the actual decisions on who lives and who dies..... We're not allowed to vote for Overlords, only employees in a rigged election. Have you seen the Onion News parody?.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBrDzZCOQtI ....there's a lot of truth to Onion News, once you stop crying.... |

However, he is also quite intelligent and goes his own ways which excludes lobbiests and other bottom dwelling creatures. I'm a conservative at heart but I can't vote for any of the 3 candidates now on the slate. I do want it known that I vote, so probably will write in Paul. Just my hugely inflated 2 cents worth. Btw, anybody notice how the us dollar is now tracking the canadian dollar? I expect an announcement before the end of Bush's term that we are going to create a common currency with Canada and Mexico with the Mexican being pegged at 10 to 1. This will be Bush's legacy and will have been accomplished by deliberately devaluing the dollar causing severe strife in the whole world. Gordon |
