Before 9/11/2001, not a single steel reinforce building every collapsed from a fire, even fires that went on for days consuming the whole building! That is not true. Steel frames collapse in building fires all the time. Additionally, any number of highway overpass bridges have been structurally damaged by tanker truck fires weakening the steel. |

Had one just a couple of years ago on I-95 in Connecticut. Brand new bridge, too. The tanker truck fire melted the structure and the whole mess had to be torn out and built from scratch again. Yes, and there was another one in Westchester County near Yonkers. |
