Does anyone have experience with the Ergotron FX series wall mount for
flat panel displays? Does it have a solid latch so the monitor won't bounce up and out of its mounting? Thanks |

Nice looking units. I'm a little confused, though. One webpage of
ergotron.com says FX has a lifetime warrantee. In other places it says 5 years warrantee. Does this mean they come and kill you after 5 years to get rid of your warrantee??...(c; I warn everyone to stay away from PLASMA DISPLAYS and TVs. Plasma has a bad burn-in problem, like the early CRTs did back in the 40's and 50's. If you leave any picture on a plasma display that doesn't move, (like the CBS eye logo for the copyright bureaucrats), it burns PERMANENTLY into the screen. Plasma as a fix to move it around, but that's just a patch to a real problem. LCD screens, like this Ergotron, and the other computer monitors only suffer from the life of the LIGHT you're looking at, which isn't infinite. The LCD, as long as it doesn't loose any of its high-voltage driver FETs, will last forever.
