Give it a rest.

At least they are out cruising and getting the boat shaken down.

What are you doing?

Hello Skip........

PLEASE tell me that you have a Coast Pilot for that part of the world
and dont rely only on helpful people for bridge clearance?!?1??@@??
@?!?!?!?

Also, I believe "SV Flying Pig" is more of a S/Y (Saling Yacht).
Although I suppose it could also be a OL/S (oil screw).
But probably others here may know better.

Wont go under a bridge without a Coast Pilot Bob

Because of the ineptitude of the crew, "Flying Pig" cannot be labeled
S/V or S/Y. The proper label would have to be L/S Flying Pig for
"Laughing Stock."

less, so
that would give us ample warning to pay very close attention.
Meanwhile, Otto (the autopilot) continues his faithful duty, steering
us to
the waypoint off Cape Fear.

Do you see any problems spending your watch typing and looking at a
RADAR screen? I guess he doesnt relize some sailboats dont show on
radar along with floating rope, logs, etc.

Whats your take?

Radar is but a single aid to navigation. To rely on it exclusively is
folly. One must use all aids to navigation available to one. Up there
around Cape Fear there's plenty of shallow water that does not show up
on radar or the charts. It's a shifting mess.

Skip's an accident waiting to happen. He's a fool. Besides only an idiot
goes AROUND the cape. There is a very safe and well marked yacht channel
right through Frying Pan Shoals that cuts miles off the more dangerous
Cape Fear route where big shipping going south plies close in to avoid
the north set of the Gulf Stream.

Good grief, Willie.

How did you get so damned negative?

I was mentored by the best. That'd be the Good Captain Neal. Like him, I
don't believe in politically correct speech. I tell it like it is.
That's the more manly way. If it hurts somebody's little feelings I
couldn't care less. The truth's more important than feelings. Besides,
somebody needs to slap some sense into the guy before he comes to
serious grief.

Actually, as far as I'm concerned, that's the most honest and human note
you've ever posted. I certaintly agree with the manlyness of it.
I mean, after all, see my previous .

But it's not you job to slap sense into other people.

And, like I said the first time we crossed paths,
Nobody is going to listen to you - because of the WAY you say things,

You could be right as rain about something.
But the self important - all knowing attitude sucks SO BAD that nobody
but nobody will ever hear you.

Do you realize that you come across like you think you are the guy who
told Noah how to build the Arc?

I admire what Skip and Lydia are trying to do. Doing! Actually.

I'm doing everything I can to get myself in the same position.

Before I pass form this mortal bound I too would like to set course -

"second star to the right - straight on 'til morning".

Some good points there.

I was impressed that Wilbur actually knew about the Cape Fear "cut
through" and the Gulf Stream traffic issue. He might have actually
been out there, but with that attitude, no one cares.

There's one thing losers like you and cavelamb will never understand. I
comment the way I comment because I don't give a hoot if politically
correct types with thin skins stop reading what I post. That's exactly
what I want. Treating with small minds is a waste of time. People who
are more concerned with how a message is delivered than the contents of
the message are not worth my wasting my time on. I post for the benefit
of people who lurk and say to themselves, "You know, that's exactly the
way I feel about it." Those are the only people worth bothering with and
it's well worth the time and effort to reinforce their sane outlook on
the world. You overly sensitive types can't cope with reality and I deal
in reality. It's your problem, not mine.

Agree with you there, so I'll not bother with you again, Tiny.
Have it your own way.
