Yamaha 15/2 stroke question
I just picked up a mid 80's Yamaha 15 hp, 2 stroke outboard.
Does anyone know what the 2 wires in a blue covering, coming out of the flywheel area, are for? They have connectors on them, but don't connect to anything. I suspect it might be for alternator output. It is a pull start motor. Thanks |

Sounds like an alternator output to me. I've got the same thing but it

Hi,
Sounds like an alternator output to me, but before you hook it to your battery, run the engine and put a meter on it to check it's electrical properties. Sherwin D.
