:The CAS# 64742-47-8 for our solvent in :WD-40 is classified as a :"distillates (petroleum) hydrotreated :light" material. ... Well... This is getting a bit silly but the CCOHS (Canadian Centre [sic] for Occupational Heath and Safety) Chemical Name for that CAS number is Hydrotreated kerosene. It "is a fuel oil derived from straight run kerosene..." So it isn't kero, but it is derived from kerosene.
