WD-40: the company's answer
As promised, here is the company's
response to my email: ++++++++++++++++ Good morning, The definition for Kerosene is: A thin oil distilled from petroleum or shale oil, used as a fuel for heating and cooking, in lamps, and as a denaturant for alcohol. Also called coal oil, lamp oil. The CAS# for Kerosene is: 8008-20-6 The CAS# 64742-47-8 for our solvent in WD-40 is classified as a "distillates (petroleum) hydrotreated light" material.
