Crisco?!! I bet you use duct tape for band aids and olive oil as a
recreational aid.

ya want to lubricate the ball valve you use something thats gonna
handle salt water, critters, and grit and will still work with your
silicon liner .'. you use Crisco. roger that on the olive oil
(fiance likes it and we add a bit of lavender and almond oil ) and
duct tape ( I like a paper towel pad so the blood soaks up).
I use bronze antiseize on stainless nuts and bolts in aluminum so i
don't have to weld, too.
Oh and Crisco is none reactive.
